The site was only "down" for a couple of days. It seemed like eternity though. There's still not much here now, but soon there will be plenty of all the good stuff you love.

My first business trip since Mia was born. Just a short trip to Massachusetts for two days. Still, I'm missing her (and Juliet of course) already and it's only been four hours.

Also had an interesting experience listening to the Howard Stern show this morning. I turned on the radio at 6AM as I was driving to Massachussetts only to hear David Lee Roth taking over the radio show. It didn't make sense. A person with a weird voice, claiming to be an executive of Viacom was stating that Howard had been removed in order to make way for the new host six months early. Then David Lee Roth takes over and proceeds to engage in some of the worst radio banter I've ever heard.

I became convinced it was real about forty minutes into the show. They even had Robin calling in to express her dismay at the quick firing to the show members. I called Juliet to tell her about it. Then an hour into the show the truth was revealed. The voice was a David Lee Roth impersonator and the whole thing was a gag thought up by Stern while on vacation. The idea was brought on by the fact that Stern found out that DLR himself had really signed a contract to take over the Stern Show slot once Howard makes the move to satellite radio.

I have to admit that they had me fooled.

For the time being, all of my photos will be hosted on Flickr. Flickr is a very cool photo sharing site. On Flickr there are lots of my photos, some of which are public and some of which are private.

Tomorrow will mark the two month mark for Juliet and I as parents. It's been an incredible learning experience. My best observation from this time is that parenting really brings you into the moment. You're forced to focus on what's happening this second as your child is upset, sleepy, hungry, soiled, whatever. It is also a test of endurance, with many nights sleep interrupted.

Juliet has been a trooper since she has taken on more responsibility with Mia since I've returned to work recently. Juliet is doing great as a mother. See more about the situation over on Mia's page.

Getting back to work and traveling has been a drag. Just as I adjusted to everyday life with Mia I got thrust back into work. Traveling has been light, but that will change this week with a trip to Pittsburgh and then a trip to Houston the following week. I feel completely out of the swing of business traveling. I'll have to get back in the swing real quick.

Progress on rebuilding my portion of the site has been slow. I still need to re-post my music and poetry among other things. It will get done, but now I've got my hands full managing all the photos of Mia located on Flickr.
