Mia was the recipient of a great Christmas gift from Santa. This dollhouse is so nice I wouldn't mind moving in. Neither would Mia I suspect.

Mia gets into a pretty intense groove when she paints. Here she is painting on her easel in the basement of our new house.
Today was the first day of pre-kindergarten for Mia. Mia did very well and even came home with a picture she painted.

Little Gym class is one of Mia's favorite activities. While Juliet and I were at the hospital with Rosetta Grandma Nancy was nice enough to take Mia to her class.
We don't have a real pool at our house in Woodstock. We do have a little blue plastic pool that I picked up at Target. Surprisingly enough Mia really enjoys playing in just a few inches of water. Evan after playing in a huge pool in Florida and taking swim classes at the YMCA. Take a few moments to listen to Mia frolicking in the pool on a warm day in June.

Could it be? Is it possible? Yes it is. Mia is three years old today. It seems like just yesterday that she was born. Time flies. That's why we so enjoy spending time with Mia.
The day was celebrated with a party at our house in Woodstock. Family and friends came over for a morning party. Juliet made quiche and biscuits. There was a fishy theme with helium balloons cut out fish hanging from the ceiling. It just so happens that we also had the DVD Deep Sea IMAX playing on the television.
Mia enjoyed playing with the other kids, getting lots of presents and of course the cake. Juliet made two cakes actually. The weather was nice as well so we had a real nice day.
It's going to be an exciting month with baby #2 scheduled to arrive. So I'm glad that Mia got to enjoy a nice party with the focus on her. Mia enjoyed every minute of it.
In one week Mia will be three years old. It is amazing how much she has changed in the last year. She moves around a lot quicker. She's got an incredibly vibrant personality.
Mia has a lot of changes coming her way in the next few weeks. Besides her third birthday, there will be a new baby coming soon. Mia likes to call our soon to be born daughter Huffington. Don't ask us why but it's cute.

Not too long after the next baby arrives we will also be moving. And we're planning on having Mia attend pre-school for a few days a week starting in September. So Mia has a lot of changes coming her way. We know there will be some bumps in the road but Mia has also surprised us in her ability to deal with change and make the best of all the new things that come her way.
